I Didn’t Think I’d Ever Build a “Religious” Box

When Spirit Drop was first just an idea in my heart, I thought it would be about family time, fun memories, and simple ways for parents to connect with their kids. From the very beginning, this was meant to be a box about connection, helping families slow down and spend meaningful time together.

But along the way, the Lord reminded me that every good and lasting foundation must be rooted in Him. That truth sank deep into my heart. I realized that if I was already creating something to draw families closer, why not place Jesus at the very center? The truth is, He had planned that all along.

I’ll be honest, I didn’t think I’d ever build a “religious” box. In my mind, it felt safer to keep things neutral. It would have been easier, less complicated, and probably more appealing to some. But the more I prayed, the more I knew that if Spirit Drop was going to be true to who I am and what I believe, it couldn’t leave out the foundation of it all. God gently reminded me that He doesn’t call us to convenience. He calls us to obedience.

So these boxes are no longer just about crafts, keepsakes, and family moments. They are about planting seeds of truth, discipling in small but practical ways, and praying that God will bring fruit out of them. Our world is desperate for more fruit, more light, and more hope. That is my prayer: that God will use these simple boxes to raise up lights for Him and produce fruit that lasts.

I still believe Spirit Drop is for everyone, which is why there’s also a Reflection Edition filled with values like kindness, love, gratitude, and generosity. But I also know I cannot hide the faith that fuels this whole vision. The Spirit Drop I never thought I would create has become the very one I am most honored to carry forward.

Because God had something else in store. And His plans are always better than mine.
